Perhaps, the most precious thing about puppies is how everything is so new to them. They have an insatiable curiosity to investigate the world around them. And oftentimes this curiosity can be as hilarious as it is adorable.
Just take Toby, the Bulldog, for instance. This rambunctiously curious little guy is all too eager to explore the possibilities that his human mama’s living room rug has to offer.
And in Toby’s estimation, that living room rug is something he needs to go to “war” with. Unsurprisingly, the result of that conflict is nothing less than total cuteness overload!
Oh, Toby, you sneaky, naughty little boy! Yeah, like any young dog in puberty, Toby is ready to take on the world. In his mind, that pesky rug doesn’t stand a chance.
Or at least it wouldn’t stand a chance if his human dad didn’t keep on stopping him from showing that bad old rug who’s boss.
At first, Toby has a pretty big corner of the rug in a submission hold. He’s chewing away on it with his tiny little baby Bulldog teeth and pushing down on it at the same time.
All signs point towards a swift victory for Toby, until his human father descends upon him, wagging a finger and very firmly telling him, “No!”
But Toby is not deterred. He tries to outwait his human father, seeing if he will stop paying attention to him if he stands around on the rug doing nothing long enough.

This results in a pretty cute moment where Toby turns all the way around for a few seconds before turning back around to see if this move tricked his dad into not paying attention to him.
Unfortunately, Toby played his hand a little too soon, and his father was still paying attention to him.
Toby was back at it again a little while later, but his father once again stopped the conflict from escalating and Toby from achieving another decisive victory over the living room rug that “needs to be destroyed.”
Oh, Toby! It looks like you will not rug will just have to settle things another day.
Now, based on this other clip, we think it’s pretty clear that Toby is not done waging his war against the living room rug by a long shot.
While he does not attempt to do battle with the living room rug in this short video, he does make it crystal clear what his daily mission in life is.
As Toby explains, “Every morning I wake up, and I ask myself: how am I going to be the biggest pain in the @$$ that I can be?”
With that morning mantra in mind, we think it is very safe to say that Toby will not only resume his war against the living room rug but also expand his campaign of destruction until he has conquered or destroyed virtually everything in his human’s house.
