Bringing home a puppy is very exciting and can also be a little challenging if you already have other older pets at home. Simba is a Golden Retriever puppy that recently met his new family, including an older orange cat sibling named Loki, and things between the two aren’t going well exactly.
Simba’s humans posted a video of an exchange the cat and dog had recently, and it’s cracking everybody up. It appears that Simba wants to play with Loki, but the cat doesn’t want any part of it. Loki starts throwing punches like a professional boxer, but Simba doesn’t take the hint that playtime is over!

I love seeing videos of cats and dogs fighting, just like cats and dogs! Simba was so cute, too, because I think that he really thinks that Loki is just playing. He has no clue that the fight is on!

Commenter Reactions to the Cat and Dog Fight
Viewers were also cracking up over the fight going on and had a lot to say about it; they’ve left nearly 1,000 comments already. I loved that @Luna Rose pointed out, “I love how cats are like ‘I’m not playing with you‘ and dogs are like ‘I’m having so much fun playing’ lol!”
@Peachtree joked, “I’ve never seen a cat throw punches so hard!!!” @Cms2600 agreed, “That kitty was punching so hard he almost gave himself whiplash ha ha!” @jaythebarber485 said, “Those are power paws being thrown!” @Lala added, “Those are straight up boxing mitts!! No skipity paps there, he’s full on giving right hooks!!! LOL!” @Nessa wasn’t wrong when she said, “There was emotion behind those punches!”
Commenter @mike made everybody laugh when he added, “99 speed, 10 accuracy.” @ravensby2 replied, “Cats only landing about 40% of his punches!”
It’s probably going to take a while for Loki and Simba to become buddies. Loki seems pretty set in his ways, and Simba needs to give him some space! Hopefully, Loki has places where he can escape to, allowing him to get away from Simba. But in the meantime, I don’t think Simba is going to stop trying to play with him anytime soon!
