Whether it’s puppies running amok or baby birds learning how to ‘dance,’ few things are as adorable and chaotic as animal babies. They can reel you in with their big eyes and tiny bodies, but sometimes, these little ones can cause just as much damage as a full-grown adult.
Just ask the homeowner behind @glenda_is_nuts! Not only is their porch home to a friendly squirrel named Glenda, but it’s apparently also the prime location for a raccoon sleepover.
When the shocked resident heard commotion from their porch in the middle of the night on June 21, they completely expected a squirrel. Much to their surprise, it was a group of baby raccoons wreaking havoc instead!

LOL! These baby raccoons are as cute as can be, and their shenanigans could make anyone smile. As long as it’s not your porch that they’re destroying—that is!
“Baby raccoons are the most adorable tornadoes in existence. Mama is exhausted and was hoping the daycare was open.” Luckily, it was! This enclosed patio is the perfect playpen for raccoon babies, though the furniture wasn’t exactly animal-proof.

Fortunatley, even the homeowner had a fun time narrating the animal antics. Their black cat was the only one who wasn’t positively enchanted by the chaotic cuties, but that’s okay. Plenty of cats are unfazed by this kind of thing!
Just when things got too rowdy, Mama Raccoon came to the rescue. Or, she tried to, anyway! It doesn’t take an expert to see why this mother needed a break, though hopefully the kids’ ‘sleepover’ at Glenda’s gave her the reset she needed to tackle another day with this bunch in tow.
Raccoons in the Yard
This adorable encounter is only one of millions of raccoon shenanigans that happen every night. It’s common to see raccoons in many areas of the world, especially at night, but most of the time, they don’t leave this much damage in their wake.
In fact, raccoons can be very smart and social! Some raccoons even befriend dogs and bond with humans, but others simply disappear at sunrise, leaving tipped chairs and broken planters in their wake. Oops!
