Even though pet parents go above and beyond to keep their dogs and cats happy, healthy, and safe, accidents can happen no matter how much you prepare. Having an animal go missing is every pet parent’s worst nightmare, but it happens to thousands of heartbroken families each year.
Fortunately, there are many ways an animal’s family can help locate them, and a happy ending is always possible. Just ask Glennys the cat! This white and black feline went missing from her parents’ home over ten years ago, and she was finally reunited with her family on June 27, over a decade later.
Needless to say, Jackson was stunned when he got a call from his ex-wife that the cat was waiting for him at the animal shelter. It was an unexpected reunion over ten years in the making!
@jaxfortuneteller When you thought your cat was 💀 but then your ex wife calls and says… “heyyy.. so.. remember Glennys?? Turns out she’s alive! Can you get her cus I’m out of the country.. 😅” UH DUH WHAT A LOVELY SIDEQUEST! 😭
Congratulations on getting your fur baby back! Reuniting with a lost pet is a dream come true, but having a reunion after ten whole years is almost inconceivable. But sure enough, the lost cat Glennys isn’t lost anymore!
Glennys may not have had much of a reaction to being reunited with her dad, but it’s safe to say that the cat dad is pleasantly stunned. I don’t think it’s sunk in yet that his missing cat is home!

“She’s like, ‘So I’ve been going by Oreo for about 10 years now,” a commenter wrote. A lot can change in a decade! There’s no way to know what kind of adventures and alternate lives this senior cat led in her time away from home, but in a way, none of that matters anymore now that she’s home.
Jackson picked up the family cat from the animal shelter because his ex-wife was out of town, but it also gave him the priceless opportunity to catch up with an old friend. Glennys is now living with his daughter, where she can nap, snack, and play to her heart’s content. It’s a win-win for everyone!
Welcome home, Glennys!
