Kittens can do some very quirky things, and when they do, it makes everybody smile. Pubity shared a video of an adorable kitten with a very unique walk, and people can’t get enough of it!
The video is short, only about 5 seconds long, and shows the kitty stomping as she walks. If you listen closely, you can even hear the stomps! Pubity cracked everybody up in the video’s caption, “Kitty is asserting her dominance.” She certainly is!

Pubity’s video was just too cute! We just wish it was longer or that we could see more of the kitten’s furious little stomps. We could watch (and listen!) to her walk all day!
Is this kitten really trying to show dominance? Probably not. According to Senior Cat Wellness, “When cats are exerting their dominance, they will stiffen their ears and rotate them sideways. This is matched to standing upright, prolonged staring, and raising the base of their tail (while drooping the tip). Verbal displays of dominance include hissing and yowling. Indirect displays include spraying (urinating) and bunting (scent rubbing).” Maybe the kitten just like the sounds that her little stomps make!

Commenter Reactions to Kitten’s Assertive Stomps
Commenters had some funny things to say about the kitten’s stomps. @William Arnett joked, “Professional upstairs neighbor.” @Kasmirra added, “He was a soldier in his past life…” @Leanne laughed and said, “When mine is upstairs and I’m downstairs, she’ll run around the room, and it sounds like a herd of elephants is up there. Ha ha!’
@Alexa shared, “Kitty knows how to claim her spot, queen of the house for sure.” @dannyjb420 added, “You’re gonna need better floors if that tiny kitty makes that noise. LOL! Cute video!” @Coaching by Numbers wondered, “Is there a dog in the house the cat is mimicking?” It’s a good guess!
@Stephanie suggested, “Does she do it all the time? My cat did that with her back paw and ended up having diabetes… might want to have her checked by a vet.” And another commenter named Victoria replied, “She has a neurological issue.” We’re not sure if any of this is true or not but there’s one that for certain, her dominating stomps are adorable!
