Siblings may be annoying and inconvenient at times, but they’re also irreplaceable family members who can, at times, know you better than you know yourself. Siblings can be related by blood, by marriage, or even by choice, but you can count on them to be there for you (and push your buttons) when you need them the most.
As we all know, siblings come in all shapes, sizes, and species. Watching dogs bond as fur siblings is a dream come true for pet parents, but even birds can develop a sibling-like relationship with their feathered friends.
Just ask Sweet Pea and Brody! These parrot siblings know exactly how to get on each other’s nerves, just like in late June when Sweet Pea felt determined to ‘share’ her brother’s tortilla chip even though she had already eaten one of her own. They’re priceless!

OMG, these bird siblings really do argue like kids! Sweet Pea the Cockatoo and Brody the African Grey parrot are usually on the same page, but this gal doesn’t mess around when it comes to her chips. Who can blame her?

Believe me, their human @theparrotlady would never do any of her birds dirty like that! The hungry bird already had a chip of her own, but she chowed down without missing a beat.
This is a scene that’s all too familiar in my house. With one 70-pound Siberian Husky mix who swallows treats whole and a 15-pound Chihuahua mix who takes tiny bites, one dog always feels like they got the short end of the stick. Either the big dog finishes his in one bite and watches his brother eat with a longing look on his face, or the little one gets jealous when he notices his brother getting more food.
There’s no way to win, but at least furry and feathered siblings give their families (and fans) an entertaining show. They’re impossible not to love!
