The thing about Golden Retrievers is that they have golden personalities. They are friendly as can be, curious, and always looking for new friends, whether they be human, canine, or any other animal.
Just take Maya Moo, for instance. She is an incredibly precious Golden Retriever who, when presented with the chance to become a friend/mom/babysitter to three adorable orphaned baby geese, did not hesitate to show them the most amazing love!
As the start of this video shows, she was all too curious about these little babies when they first arrived. She would follow them around everywhere and sniff them, trying to figure out what they were all about.

She pretty quickly moved on to playing with them, dancing and hopping around like an excited bunny rabbit at the chance to have a couple of new playmates. From there, things really blossomed between her and these baby geese.
She would share water with them, babysit them at the park, go swimming with them, and even watch over them as they learned how to fly. If that isn’t some precious real-life Disney movie magic, we don’t know what is!
These wonderful geese might be fully grown now, but they still come back to visit their Golden Retriever bestie from time to time.
In this other video, this affable Golden Retriever chases them around a bit like they are playing a game of tag. It’s total cuteness overload!
Clearly, these geese feel very safe and loved playing with this dog. It just goes to show how special the relationships between animals of different species can be, as well as how gentle, friendly, and loving Golden Retrievers are.
