It’s summer time! Which means one thing, in our humble opinion — ice cream. We know that one Golden Retriever totally knows what we’re talking about. The pup couldn’t contain her joy when she heard a familiar jingle around the neighborhood. It was the ice cream man! And judging by the dog’s reaction, it was her favorite sound on earth.
Of course this all happened while on grandma’s watch. In a video shared by the Golden Retriever’s human, it shows the dog with his grandma waiting for the ice cream man to arrive. And boy was she excited.

There is nothing like getting ice cream from the ice cream man. It’s a summer tradition. When you hear the music coming around the corner, it’s only natural that you’d stop what you’re doing to be first in line.
“What are we going to pick?!” the woman exclaimed as the truck pulled up to them. There were so many options! But then the women had a stroke of brilliance. “How about a Ninja Turtle?” That’s our favorite popsicle too!

The Golden Retriever, Bear Jane, was so excited. The Golden hopped up as soon as Grandma introduced the idea. She was ready for that pop — STAT. In fact, as soon as Grandma held it in front of her, the dog went to town. Yep, we think she liked it.
“She’s never going to want to come home,” the caption reads.
People in the comments section were totally obsessed with Bear Jane’s special treat.
“Moms don’t have ice cream truck money when you’re a kid. But as soon as they get a granddog they got ice cream truck money,” joked one person.
“Obsessed with the fact that she didn’t even get herself an ice cream,” chimed in someone else.
“That is such a hilarious thing for her to choose for a dog,” added a third commenter.
“If I owned an ice cream truck I would 100 percent do dog ice cream and pup cups,” someone else vowed.
It should be noted that while this video was pretty cute, it’s really not advisable to feed your dog ice cream. Many treats, especially treats from an ice cream truck, contain ingredients that can be dangerous to dogs. Ice cream also has a lot of fat, which can be bad for a dog’s diet. Instead, treat your dog to a slice of watermelon or dog safe ice cream. It’s a good way to beat the heat.
