Entries are now open for the sixth edition of the Design Innovation Award, an award organized in Italy promoted by Confindustria Nautica and the Genoa International Boat Show to reward excellence, research and innovation in the nautical sector, also linking it transversally to the best of “Beautiful and Well-made” Made in Italy. Walter De Silva, among the most famous Italian designers, will be the President of the 2025 Jury composed of international experts in the fields of boating, design and culture.
The Design Innovation Award has become a benchmark for those who design the future of the sea: designers, manufacturers, pioneers of innovation. An award that narrates a vision that values cutting-edge projects and emphasizes a commitment to design capable of combining quality, technique, sustainability and beauty. Since its first edition in 2020, the Prize has experienced steady growth, establishing itself as a cultural and design space of excellence. From about 40 candidate projects in the first year, it has grown to an average of more than 90 projects submitted in the most recent editions. The Prize is open to all Italian and international exhibiting companies at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show. Nominations are submitted exclusively online by September 5, 2025, by filling out the form available on the official website. The award ceremony will be held on September 19, 2025, in the impressive setting of Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, during the 65th Boat Show (September 18-23).
