For Lou, the Newfoundland dog, it’s summertime visits from his BFF that he loves the most. His best pal just so happens to be a toad who makes a home in Lou’s backyard every summer, and sure enough, this summer is no different. Still, it was a long wait for this gentle giant to be reunited with his friend, but the moment they finally played together again was worth the inconvenience.

The backyard toad is finally back! For many homeowners, seeing a toad in the yard is nothing more than a cute animal encounter, but for this friendly dog, it’s one of the most special days of the year. Lou had a blast following his friend hopping around the garden, and it’s only the beginning of their adventures together.

Just a few days prior, this sweet dog was waiting patiently for his friend but was beginning to feel defeated. Anyone who’s waited a long time for something exciting knows just how stressful it can be, but now that the toad made their grand entrance, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
