Fair warning for the next time your pet sitting — don’t lose track of the dog! One woman was absolutely petrified when she looked around and couldn’t find her roommate’s Dachshund recently. She was so scared! Luckily she managed to track the pup down in the most hilarious place.
We can only imagine how scared the woman was when she realized the Dachshund had vanished.

The dog’s mama received the most chaotic video from her roomie after the dog disappeared. Her roommate was looking high and low for the pup. She checked the living room, she checked the kitchen —she checked everywhere! And yet, still the Dachshund was nowhere to be found.

“It’s 2 am and I just got back. I’m looking everywhere for George,” the woman said in the footage. She was worried they’d left the dog outside while they were out! But nope, George had made himself a nice little hiding spot while the women were away — behind the pillows of his mama’s bed. And TBH, when she found the pup he looked positively precious.
“My roommate sent me this video of her losing my weiner dog,” the video’s text overlay reads. “Bombastic side eye,” the video’s caption jokes.
People in the comments section were cracking up. George had them tickled.
“He said ‘it’s bedtime. I’m in bed,’” joked one commenter.
“God forbid George gets some sleep,” another commenter teased.
“George said ‘yeah it’s 2am and usually I’m cuddling with someone WHERE WERE YOU?!?!’” someone else quipped.
While another person understood the woman’s dilemma completely:
“I have a wiener dog and this is definitely a regular occurrence. One time I posted in our local missing pets page and turns out she was under my blanket ignoring me crying [and] screaming her name the whole time,” they shared.
So as you can see, this is sort of normal with Doxies. It seems like these little guys always slip through the cracks.
