Well this is a new one. One woman was stunned by the truly strange run-in she had with two deers recently. Kerrie was out for a run when the animals approached her and did the weirdest thing. And now people are calling the incident a case of the animals playing “truth or deer.”
We’re no animal experts, but is it normal for deer to be so..friendly? It really seemed like the deers dared each other to go up to a human. And when they did they were pretty darn hilarious.

Call this a once in a lifetime situation. Kerrie was out for a nice run when nature got a close — a little too close. The video shows two deers sprinting towards the woman. It was almost like she was a long lost pal.
One by one, the deers ran up and licked Kerrie on the legs. It was like they dared each other to lick the humans, before running off.

“I got licked by some deer on my run the other day,” the woman wrote in the video’s caption.
She’ll probably never forget this run. Nor will the people in the comments section, who all agreed that the deers were just goofing around.
“That was a dare if I ever saw one,” joked one person.
“This is the deer version of touching the boat in Finding Nemo,” someone else teased.
“There’s a baby bunny in the bushes LAUGHING so hard right now,” chimed in someone else.
While another person had a strong guess as to what happened before the deers played their trick: “‘Hey, hey, I heard humans sweat SALT!’ ‘NUH UH!’ ‘YEAH HUH!’ *Runner goes by* ‘I think we can solve this mystery,’” they quipped.
Are Deers Friendly to Humans?
They seem pretty docile, but no matter how cute or gentle a deer might seem you should probably keep your distance. Deers have been known to attack humans in the wrong circumstances. So don’t assume that they’ll all be as sweet as these two.
If you see a deer in the wild, appreciate them from afar. You don’t want to disrupt them in their natural habitat — for your protection and their own.
