Do you want to know what toddlers and elephants have in common? They both have the amazing ability to throw a tantrum, at any given minute, over absolutely nothing! Another thing they have in common is making humans giggle due to the advanced dramatic display they are witnessing!
In a recent TikTok video shared by @wildlysafaris, we get a glimpse of a young elephant who is clearly upset about something. He is hooting and hollering as he runs away from the herd. The little pachyderm heads straight for the safari truck but stops short in his tracks to show off his trumpeting skills.
@wildlysafaris We sat watching this family of elephant walking in from about 500m away. This little Ellie was throwing a tantrum all the way down the road 😅 He definitely wasn’t to impressed with us! #elephant #baby #wildlysafaris #nature #fyp
As the tourists laugh, he keeps running but comes to a halt again right next to the vehicle. This time he gives them a glaring side eye before racing off to meet up with others in his herd. He was clearly trying to share his opinion about something with the major stink eye!
The look on his face is one we have all seen before. It’s as if he is saying, “what are you guys looking at?” The reason behind the stink eye could be the result of an argument with his mama or one of the other young elephants in the group. It could also be his way of showing dominance to the group of people that are laughing as he raises his trunk and gives a loud tooting sound!

Whatever the reason for the glaring look of disapproval, he was still the hit of the trip for the tourists, and they have the video to prove it happened.
Several viewers across the platforms shared their thoughts including one who stated, “The side eye from the baby elephant was lethal! LOL, so cute!”
Another one said, “You can almost see him stick his tongue out LOL!”
Baby elephants have to practice learning new things, and this little guy decided to try multiple new skills including trumpeting, charging, and his glorious stink eye. Lastly, he takes off running before his mother can catch him just like a human toddler would! We think he is adorable and hope you do too!
