Welcoming a new fur baby to the family can be an exciting time, especially when you add an adorable litter of Cheetah cubs to the mix. That’s exactly what happened to one fierce mama cheetah named Cora at the Saint Louis Zoo.
Back in May, she gave birth to five precious cheetah cubs, and the @stlzoo TikTok gave everyone a first look at these cuties. Be prepared to meet your new obsession for the day!
@stlzoo Say hello to five adorable cheetah cubs born May 5 at the Saint Louis Zoo! 👋 These cuties are the first litter for parents Cora and Vader and the first successful cheetah births at the Zoo in more than seven years. “Cora’s Quints” are all doing well bonding with mom in a private maternity den at the Zoo. The cubs are expected to make a public debut later this year when they reach the age when cubs would naturally leave their den. This crew will be named once Zoo vets determine each cub’s sex in the coming weeks. Check back here for more “Cora’s Quints” updates soon! 🐆
We can’t stop hitting replay! Be honest: Are you already planning a trip to get a glimpse of this crew up close? Well, you’ll have to wait a bit to see them in action.
Currently, mama is showing them with all of the love and attention they can take. It’s no wonder as the post caption explains, “These cuties are the first litter for parents Cora and Vader and the first successful cheetah births at the Zoo in more than seven years. ‘Cora’s Quints’ are all doing well bonding with mom in a private maternity den at the Zoo.”
This feline family deserves this crucial time with each other, and mom is taking care of her babies. As you can see in the video, the siblings seem to be super close already. There’s even one cub that’s giving protector of the pack vibes.
They go on to say, “The cubs are expected to make a public debut later this year when they reach the age when cubs would naturally leave their den.” If you check out the comments, it’s clear crowds will be lining up to spend some time with these quints. Until then, @stlzoo is giving us a peek at them, and people are overwhelmed by these cubs.
“Im crying over baby cheetahs, all because they were born the day my grandpa passed. This actually made my day. Thanks STL Zoo for this post,” wrote @lucklil233 in the comments, and they signed off, “A Missouri resident who loves the zoo.”

While checking out the post, @chelseymolina21 confessed, “I misread adorable as adoptable and got really excited.” They do almost look like cuddly kittens. Can’t blame them for wanting to take one home!
Commenter @ashleystar2001 was surprised to learn about the cubs and added, “Ah, I didn’t even know we were expecting cheetah cubs. I’ll have to go see them once they make their public debut next time I visit the zoo.”
Aside from gushing about the cubs’ cuteness, @seriouslysarcasticb pointed out, “Five babies on May 5… Please name the fifth one of them Cinco.”
When you think about it, there were five cheetah cubs born in the fifth month of the year on the fifth day of the month. Five just may be the lucky number of the year! The icing on the cake would be if they arrived around five o’clock, but the zoo didn’t give out that info in the post.
As for names, @stlzoo mentioned, “This crew will be named once Zoo vets determine each cub’s sex in the coming weeks.”
Though, they do plan to keep giving updates on Cora’s Quints, so make sure to follow their TikTok page so you can catch all of these cubs’ first moments.
