We all have bedtime routines and rituals that help us catch some much-needed Zzz’s. Though, most probably don’t compare to that of Cumulus the Cockatoo in this nighttime video posted to the @fixchix TikTok page.
This hyper bird has a big case of the zoomies before his bedtime, and the genius way his pet parent chose to help him wind down is too cute to not watch on repeat. It involves a whole lot of dancing and singing from this Cockatoo. Just watch this birdie bring it!

Now, that’s one way to tire yourself out before bed! Many times, our pets operate on their own schedules, and they don’t always want to go to sleep when you do. So, you have to find a way to get them to calm down for the night.
In this video, you see a bird parent that’s going through all of the stages of “getting the zoomies out” with their own custom sleepy time routine. First, there’s the initial zoomies as they let Cumulus dance and sing around the room and the couch to burn off all of that excess energy. Just look at him go! Seriously, this Cockatoo has got some moves.
Once he’s expelled that energy, then he gets a little more stationary, sitting on the couch. Just like a child, this birdie is talking and saying anything to stay awake and engaged.

Last but not least, there’s the lullaby stage where they try to soothe this Cockatoo with some singing. In the clip, Cumulus and mom are trading a few scales of “la, la, la’s” back and forth, and it’s sweet music to the viewers.
Commenter @cheryl_dawn1 said, “Love how he changed his energy to match your la’s,” and @ellediesonne realized “He’s matching your pitch.”
As they sing, you definitely notice that Cumulus is noticeably a bit calmer and singing a bit slower. That’s a huge change from his earlier antics as he bounced around the room.
After all of that, here’s hoping that this little guy was ready to hit the hay after that concert. Regardless, what a sweet way to end the night!
