Whether you’ve spent time on the rescue dog side of TikTok or have fostered a furry friend through a local rescue, it’s easy to see just how life-changing fostering a dog can be. Perhaps you’ve seen videos of Tiki, a brave and resilient little dog from NYC who finally found his forever home after his fosters, Isabel and Jacob, gave him a brand new ‘leash’ on life. He overcame injuries, hesitation, and lots of fear, but he’s only one incredible rescue dog whose life was changed through fostering.
Meet Queen Sheba! She’s a sweet and sassy senior Pit Bull who’s been living her best life with her foster family, @wethreepitties. This 15-year-old sweetheart could put anyone under her spell with merely a glance, but on June 2, she simultaneously enchanted thousands while scaring her foster mama in the process.
When she heard a sound in the kitchen, the poor foster mama was afraid that Sheba had fallen and hurt herself due to arthritis. Luckily, the reality behind the commotion was much, much cuter.
It’s the Burger Bun Burglar! Neither Sheba nor her foster mom expected an interaction like this, but I think they’re both delighted that this era of tomfoolery has begun. Clearly, Sheba is one happy dog if she feels comfortable enough to test boundaries and follow her desires.

“One of my favorite moments in a rescue dog’s journey, apart from the first time they have a deep-snoring-woofing in their dream sleep, is when they start acting out,” a commenter named Sarah shared. “Because you know they feel safe enough to cause a little trouble.”
Exactly! This rescued Pit Bull has found a place where she can be herself unapologetically, even if she wants to steal a snack sometimes. Every dog does it! My rescue puppy’s most recent feast was a corn chip stolen straight from the bowl, all because he acted nonchalantly enough for me to let my guard down.

Queen Sheba’s kitchen heist is also a great sign because it shows how little her canine arthritis is slowing her down. Whatever she’s been doing must be working wonders for her joints, because I never would have guessed her age based on this video.
Keep up the amazing work, Sheba and fam! You deserve a big bite of a burger bun for all your hard work!
