When the cops show up on your doorstep, the very last thing you expect to do is laugh. However, one woman in Texas couldn’t hold back her giggles after an officer knocked on her door, triggering her home’s doorbell camera.
The conveniently placed recording device captured the hilarious exchange between the officer and the four-legged besties that were apparently traveling around town having the best time together.

According to Newsweek, the doorbell camera was rolling as the officer walked up to the home, followed closely by the dog, and then the goat. The officer spoke into the camera as he tried to identify where these two belonged, asking the homeowner — who wasn’t home at the time, according to the publication — if she knew the animals before explaining what was going on, even if he didn’t believe it himself.
“Do you happen to know these… this dog,” he asked the camera with a smile on his face. Just a few minutes later he can be heard describing the pair as a German Shephard and a goat before exasperatedly throwing his hands up in the air.
The video appears to have been taken in Houston, Texas. And while that isn’t exactly a rural part of the Lone Star State, it’s clear that some areas are a bit more farm-friendly than others.

What we wouldn’t give to find out how this interaction turned out once the pair ended up where they were supposed to be, and whether they got into any legal trouble as a result. While the pair looked as thick as thieves on the doorbell camera, it’s unlikely that they went on a crime spree during their fun afternoon out together, so we’re pretty sure the animal besties got off with nothing more than a warning.
