Dogs do the funniest things. Sometimes, they will simulate bark and nothing. And at others, they will bark at one thing because they believe it is another. Just take the black Labrador in this video, for instance.
This guy believes that a “life-like” cat picture hanging on the wall at his vet’s office is the real thing. Of course, this dog has to show this cat picture who the boss is.
Unfortunately, this enthusiastic Labrador doesn’t seem to realize that she is quite literally having a one-sided argument, LOL.

From the get-go, this black Labrador is not taking any chances with this cat picture. She immediately lets this cat picture know that she does not mess around, barking up a storm to lay down the law.
Of course, the Internet had a field day with this one!
Some people, such as Instagram user tucsonodd, joked about the comical nature of this dog’s reaction when they wrote, “If not, why cat-shaped?”

However, other people shared that their animals had had similar experiences at the vet’s office. Instagram user adammontpetit shared that “Our vet’s walls are painted with murals of dogs and cats playing in a field. Our chocolate lab has tried to make friends with more than one of them.”
While Instagram user skubera, who stated that they are a vet, shared that “I had a cat patient go ballistic over a cross-stitched picture of another cat, and the owner said it looked like her housemate she hated, LOL, I guess my grandma was pretty talented at cross-stitching.”
Do Dogs Have Good Eyesight?
Even though many people believe that our canine companions have excellent eyesight because they have such phenomenal hearing, this is actually not the case. Dogs cannot see objects as well as humans.
For example, normal human vision is 20/20, while normal canine vision is 20/75. That means that our canine companions have to be 20 feet away in order to see an object as well as a person is able to see it at 75 feet away.
However, labradors usually have better eyesight than the average dog, with their vision being closer to 20/20 than their canine counterparts, which is why they are commonly employed as seeing-eye dogs.
Dogs typically have much better visual sensitivity to movement than humans do, with their motion sensitivity being anywhere from 10 to 20 times greater than ours. But they are not as good at detecting stationary objects.
Perhaps that’s why the dog in this video was so easily fooled by that cat picture? Maybe if someone tried moving the picture, this dog would realize that the cat’s movement is not quite right and understand that they are not looking at what they think they are seeing?
