TikToker aero.mace, AKA Mason, jumped on the newest internet trend that every cat owner is going crazy about: buying concrete slabs for their fur babies to sit on. He headed to Lowe’s to buy a slab for his cats, Asami and Suki, and when he asked the worker where he could find one, she asked if it was for a cat!
After finding the perfect slab for just $2, Mason and his husband headed home to see how their cats would react to it. Watch on to see their reactions…we were surprised by both of them!
@aero.mace It’s been days since I filmed this and they still love it! And yes the creaky floorboards were a paid actor! 🏚️ #catsoftiktok #concreteslab #catsandconcrete #fyp #tiktoktrend @Lowe’s

Commenter @justmenocallname joked, “This screams: Mother, I yearn for the street but at the comfort of our home LOL!” @Alisa Marie got almost 25,000 likes when she added, “Introducing the Toe Stubber 2000.”

Why Cats Love Concrete
A commenter made a great point when they said, “Well, now I need a concrete slab to put in a cardboard box to create a kitty paradise!” @The Pearl Witch explained, “It’s a paver. They probably love it because it will file their nails and help scratch their itchies. So cute and funny.”
@Mary Margaret Fisher said what we were all thinking, “‘Is this for a cat’? Now I wanna know how many people went looking for a concrete slab for her to KNOW what it was for LOL!”
Looking for the purfect paver for your kitty? Head to Lowe’s. Many pet parents are skipping the pet beds and heading straight to Lowe’s for concrete pavers. Lowes announced that 100,000 people bought this one in the last week alone, paying just $1.78 for it! These pavers allow cats to stretch, sprawl, and cool off (or heat up during the winter!) on them.
Not ready to keep concrete pavers in your house? Lowe’s tapped into the “catio” trend to give every pet their main character moment, launching its PETioblueprints, which helps pet owners find elements that tie in seamlessly with their outdoor spaces. With PETio, pets and their parents can enjoy the concrete in style – no compromise on comfort or aesthetics. It’s worth checking out for your fur baby!
