Friendship can thrive throughout all seasons of life, whether you’ve recently met or have known each other for decades. There are so many ways to be a supportive pal, even if you’re thousands of miles away, but nothing feels as sweet as finally being together again.
Even dogs know just how joyful it is to see old friends! Whether it’s a massive Rottweiler giving his Dad’s girlfriend the welcome home of a lifetime, or dog park pals saying hi for their fourth play date of the week, dogs know how to greet the people and animals they love.
Stella the apricot Cockapoo is no exception! This adorable, fluffy dog couldn’t contain her joy (or her howls!) when she was finally reunited with her mom’s college roommates. After living together for so long, it felt like home for this puppy princess to be back with her campus family.

Have you ever seen a sweeter reunion? Dogs can’t hide their feelings in the ways that humans can, so there’s no questioning how they feel. As for this howling dog, she couldn’t possibly be more excited to see her old friends!
“Stop, I’m gonna cry,” one commenter began. “All her girls are together again.” It’s enough to make anyone misty-eyed. Dogs may be considered man’s best friend, but any woman who’s had a dog knows that they’re woman’s best friend, too.
Stella has grown up alongside these girls, whether she was cuddling during a late-night study session or “holding out a paw through every heartbreak.”
Dogs at College
Stella is a pampered 4-year-old Cockapoo with a culinary queen for a mom. This sweet dog enjoys all kinds of custom-curated meals, but I have a feeling she still misses aspects of her college life.
I know I sure do! College was extremely challenging in many ways, but it was also tons of fun. My college friends have become friends for life (two were even bridesmaids at my dog-focused wedding!), and I will always regard that period of my life as one of the best.
One day I’ll never forget is when my rescue dog, who also happens to be an adorable Cockapoo, came to stay with me in the dorms. Carter had a blast begging for snacks and having five girls fawning over him, but I think we all enjoyed it even more than he did.
If everyone loved Carter so quickly, just think of how close Stella and her roommates became throughout school. No wonder it was such a heartwarming reunion!
