There’s never a good time to feel unwell, but being sick during the summer is particularly frustrating. Unfortunately, this became the reality for a sweet little boy living with his family on Terry Farm. He usually bounces off the walls, playing with his furry and feathered friends, but on July 3, farm chores looked very different for him after he came down with the stomach flu.
Fortunately, his farm animal friends were eager to look out for him. Blu the farm turkey, along with a mother cow and her calf, were particularly concerned for their young friend, and the way they watched over him brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Animals truly are intuitive!

This is so sweet! Although this adorable little boy wasn’t feeling well, he must feel loved to have these animals watching over him so closely.

“It’s a good thing the cow did not panic at all,” joked another commenter. She was yelling for help! Meanwhile, the sweet baby cow got a closer look to make sure everything was alright.
Blu the Babysitting Turkey
It’s so heartwarming to see the ways farm animals show their love to their favorite people, but no one stands out more than the affectionate turkey who refused to leave the little boy’s side.
Another commenter got it right when she wrote, “Imagine being so loved, you have a turkey patrol protecting you while you sleep.” It’s an animal lover’s dream come true! I’ve never seen such a gentle and sweet turkey before, but Blu is proving that everything I thought I knew about these birds was wrong.

“I’ve never seen a turkey be so gentle,” said another viewer. “All I’ve seen is turkeys chasing mailmen and children. I love him so much.” You can say that again!
The farmer admitted that even though Blu can be grumpy around some folks, he’ll never be mean to his favorite people. Clearly, this is one loved bird, because he doesn’t hesitate to share the love, too, especially when someone isn’t feeling their best!
Fortunately, the stomach flu doesn’t last for long, and this adorable boy will be back to playing with his animal friends in no time. Feel better soon!
