When you live or travel in the countryside, forest, or mountains, seeing wildlife is inevitable. Deer, squirrels, and birds of prey are common in many areas, but you never know what cool creatures you may see as nighttime creeps closer. Many wild animals are most active around dawn and dusk, even if they live in more populated places.
Unless they give you a shock while driving, these wild animal encounters can be the most magical moments! Just ask the lucky (or unlucky?) golfer named Jackson Cooling, who made a social media account just to share this once-in-a-lifetime sighting.
Jackson was about to score under par at Burlington Golf and Country Club in Ontario, Canada, when a wild coyote appeared from the nearby forest and stole his golf ball straight from the putting green! Even though he never got the ball back, it was more than worth it to watch the wild animal having so much fun. The coyote just wanted to play!
@jackson.cooling He’s kinda cute though

So much for your golf game! Even if Jackson had more golf balls, it’s impossible to replicate a play on demand. His score may have gone up after this coyote sighting, but so did his aura points!
“Hey, so that’s actually the grounds keeper, and he’s just doing his job,” one commenter joked. That makes a lot more sense! It’s his job to keep the course clean and empty, and the fun he has in the process is just the cherry on top.

But what do you even do when an animal steals your golf ball? As many viewers pointed out, PGA rules state that you can continue play from where the ball was, but that would be hard to do when the ball has been stolen altogether. Still, “it’s their world, too,” and animals deserve to play just as much as we do!
But where did Jackson’s golf ball go?
@jackson.cooling Replying to @Tyna Schroeder He ended up taking the ball back to his family 🥹
The playful coyote brought the ball back to his family as a gift, and no one can even be mad. This is too cute! Even if Jackson had to get a new golf ball and finish the hole with his best guess at his ball’s location, this priceless story makes up for any inconvenience.
Besides, how many people have had their golf game interrupted by a wild animal?
