Meet Angus, a feisty donkey with a mind of his own. He lives on a farm with other animals and always seems to be around when there’s any chaos going on, as you’ll see in this video. One of the West Highland cows had a baby, and Angus decided to claim the baby as his own.
Laurel Sebaert shared the video of Angus walking over to meet the new calf. He checks the baby out and decided to keep it. He wouldn’t let anybody, including the calf’s mom, get near the baby. Watch on to see how protective Angus gets and what happens at the end of the video.
Angus definitely needs to work on his parenting style! He’s not the most gentle with the baby. And I couldn’t help but crack up when he started kicking mom to keep her away. Mom must have been too tired to fight back because I’m pretty sure she could’ve just poked him with those horns and got him to move! Angus’ baby fever didn’t last very long because he walked away as soon as he got bored!

Commenter Reactions to Angus Stealing the Cow’s Baby
People left some very funny comments about Angus’ antics. Laurel’s video got more than 1,300 comments and overall, people love Angus. @sarah.fb.lindsay shared, “Angus: I see it. I like it. I want it. I got it.”
@patty_loves_poems got more than 100 likes when she said, “I think Angus needs his own baby.” I would’ve thought so too until he just walked away from the calf when he got bored! @1elusivegal added “To make things even worse, he has the nerve to kick at the mom while he’s trying to steal her baby. Funny as heck though!”
Commenter @_jacobshort cracked everybody up when he said, “The dog: “ANGUS PLEASE YOU MUST SEE REASON!” LOL!”
But not everybody saw the humor in Laurel’s video. @Barngal9221jfl asked, “Why didn’t you stop the donkey instead of continuing to film them? I’m sure the momma cow and the calf were in distress. Yet, you let it go on, and on and on. Sad.”
@windyacrestrading shared, “This is not cute, I put my donkey down on the spot when I caught him beating up a calf.”
Viewer @loosecannonphoto also wasn’t amused, “Not really sure why this was videotaped? You should have separated them. Unnecessary stress on the baby cow and the mother cow.”
The mama cow didn’t appear to be in stress, although I’m not a farmer and don’t know for sure if she was or not. I’m sure Laurel knows her animals and wouldn’t have put the baby in harm’s way on purpose. Here’s hoping Angus stopped stealing the baby after this first time!
