While wedding crashers aren’t the worst thing that could happen to a ceremony, they can certainly cause a lot of chaos. Not only is there the question of whether they’re welcome, but also whether the venue and catering can accommodate them. Talk about last-minute changes!
As one beautiful garden wedding proved in a July 10 TikTok video, some wedding crashers are downright adorable—even if they steal the spotlight away from the bride and groom! A wedding guest named Miche was lucky enough to be filming when an adorable duck took a bold stroll down the aisle, exactly when the bride was supposed to make her grand entrance!
@miche8_ No because why did it walk directly to her spot 😂 #wedding #destinationwedding #funnywedding #copenhagenwedding #weddingtok #weddingceremony #bride #weddingaisle
This is priceless! This female Mallard duck filled in for the bride flawlessly, as if the entire setup was meant for her. If we were living in a movie or story book, I’d begin to wonder whether this actually is the bride!
“Would you still love me if I were a duck?” one clever commenter jokingly asked. It pays to be on top of meme trends! This comment comes from a recent popular meme that asks, “Would you still love me if I were a worm?” as a fun and silly way of testing the depth of relationships.
By the look on this groom’s face, he’d be thrilled to see his bride no matter what! He was laughing out loud when this duck walked down the aisle and nearly took her place beside him, but then again, who wouldn’t be? Just about everyone has their phone out to record this priceless bird encounter!
TikTok viewers had a field day with this silly goose (or silly duck, I should say), writing all kinds of clever comments like, “that’s the Mallard of Honor.” Of course! She worked around the clock for months to help her pal, the bride, prepare for this special day, so it’s only right that she gets to bask in the spotlight, too.
Wedding Crashers
When I got married last year, our wedding crashers were wonderful surprises. For one, we never thought we’d be living out one of those emotional military homecoming videos!
My husband and I used to share a house with several friends, including one who was (as far as we knew) going to be deployed with the Marines and unable to make the wedding. It was the most amazing feeling to see him sitting with all our friends at the ceremony! Several family members surprised us by making an out-of-state trip, but the cutest wedding crashers were our rescue dogs, who made themselves comfortable in the bridal suite upstairs.

Animals at a wedding can be so much fun, whether or not you planned to have them there. Without that curious and social duck, this couple wouldn’t have shared such an iconic moment with their family and friends!
