For an equestrian from Georgia named Karwis, a regular trail ride with her horse and dog quickly became a scene straight out of a movie. She saddled up her red horse, Cadillac, on June 23, expecting to find sunshine and fresh air, but things started to take a strange turn shortly after her scenic horseback ride began.
Cadillac walked faster and faster, until he was practically galloping. It was like he was being chased! Much to everyone’s surprise, they actually were being chased, but the scene from a horror movie quickly turned into a comedy starring a startled horse.
Just wait until you see what was following them!

Aww, it was just a baby horse! The sweet little foal had gotten lost from his mom and herd, so quick-thinking Karwis brought him home to meet her herd. I think it’s safe to say he was accepted!

“The whole Mama squad running up saying, ‘help is on the way, dear,’” was a favorite moment among commenters. Clearly, these mares have outstanding maternal instincts! They surrounded the lost foal with comfort and love from the very first moment they saw him, but another commenter pointed out the most beautiful detail.
I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one who felt touched, “when the pregnant mare was the first to get to him.” She’s going to be the best mom! It was heartwarming to see the way she (and all the mares) adopted the foal with no questions, but viewers still had plenty of questions about what happened next.

What a relief that this baby is safe now! Karwis was so selfless to take in the foal without a second thought, but it’s also so strange that no one nearby was missing this energetic foal, especially with his well-groomed hair.
“He’s an Andalusian or Lusitano,” another commenter wrote. “That trim is one we give weanlings up to a year old.” How interesting!
Whatever happened to this sweet horse, one thing is clear: his story is just beginning.
