Dog mom and host of The Dogevity Show podcast Dianne Scott shared the sweetest story on Instagram at the beginning of June about a little boy named Cai who adopted a Pit Bull named Waylon from PAWS Shelter in central Texas. The story is giving people all the feels, and has the happiest ending.
Cai and his mom, Marvy, went to the shelter ‘to look around,’ and the staff was immediately impressed by the questions the young boy was asking about Waylon’s personality and how to care for him. Waylon had been waiting for 95 days for a forever home, and when Cai showed up to adopt him wearing his Sunday best, the staff knew it was a match made in heaven!
When the staff asked why he was dressed up, Cai replied simply that it was a ‘special occasion’. It sure was for both Cai and Waylon! Waylon waited so long, but it was so worth it!
Dianne’s caption went on to say that Waylon’s living his best life and that he’s very spoiled. She also said that the Pit Bull and his new family were meant to be. We couldn’t agree more!
