Cooling off with a glass of water may be hydrating, but no one can resist a refreshing and delicious ice cream in the summer heat! It’s chilly, flavorful, and the perfect way to treat yourself. Even our furry friends agree!
On July 5, a lucky crowd in the UK was treated to the sight of five Irish Wolfhounds enjoying ice cream cones. Not only did the dogs’ massive size have people staring, but the way they politely ate their treats was ‘paw-sitively’ priceless! These dogs may be big, but they eat more politely than some people do.

OMG, these dogs are huge! Irish Wolfhounds are widely recognized as the tallest dog breed in the world, and it’s easy to see why. They continue growing well into adulthood and are taller than most people when on their hind legs.
Despite their massive size, though, these gentle giant dogs couldn’t have been sweeter. They each waited patiently for their ice cream cone, and they were completely unfazed by the crowd gathering around them. These big dogs must be used to capturing attention wherever they go, especially when they travel in a pack!
“Absolutely stunning dogs,” one commenter gushed. “Such a beautiful breed. They took the ice cream so gently! I’ve only ever met 1 Irish wolfhound, and he was so soft and gentle. My dog absolutely loved him.”
These dignified companions seem so lovable, but I can hardly believe how many huge Wolfhounds I saw in this video! I counted at least five dogs, but their loving mama has even more at home!
The Austonley Wolfhounds
The entire Austonley Wolfhounds canine pack includes 10 Irish Wolfhounds, 3 White Swiss Shepherds, 1 Whippet, 1 Lurcher, and 2 Brussels Griffons. Now that’s a handful!

Despite having so many fur siblings, every dog gets their own special attention and outings, just like these Wolfhounds’ trip for ice cream. After all, no two dogs are the same, and they each deserve their own treats and special adventures. These dogs are living the good life!
