Dogs typically dread bathtime. They will whine and complain and try pulling all kinds of hijinks that can be equally hilarious, nodding, and just straight up ridiculous in order to get out of taking a bath.
At the same time, dogs can also be very surprising creatures. Just take Koda, the miniature Australian Shepherd puppy, for instance. He actually loves taking a bath. We say he loves taking a bath, we really mean it!
As soon as his daddy tells him that it is bath time, Koda cannot get out of his arms fast enough. As soon as his paws are on the floor, this little guy is off to the races! He wants to be in that bathtub!
And once he is in the bathroom, he doesn’t wait for his humans to pick him up and put him in the bathtub, no, he claps right on in like a little bunny and clamors over to the faucet, ready for the water to come out.
When the water doesn’t, by itself, Koda barks at his humans to turn it on. As the water begins to trickle out of the faucet, Koda, like many an adorable little dog, begins doing precious “water chomps” in his excitement.
But don’t worry, Koda also exhibits plenty of self-control once the bath begins. He remains perfectly still while his human parents get him wet and slather him in shampoo. After they rinse him off, Koda is ready to unleash his post-bath zoomies around the house.
At that point, he is just a rambunctious ball of fluffy energy! Neither of his parents can catch him as he romps around the house and rolls around on the carpet to dry his fur.
But don’t worry, Koda is usually very good about going to his parents most of the time. He really enjoys being “scooped up” by his dad in particular. As this other video shows, Koda’s dad is a grade-A dog scooper.
In fact, he is such a good dog scooper that Koda’s friends even enjoy getting in on this scooping action, too.
Without a doubt, Koda is a very special miniature Australian Shepherd. He is a wondrous ball of energy who also enjoys being pampered and gently held: he is the perfect fur baby!
