Two Miniature Poodle sibling sisters, who were adopted out separately, are reunited after not seeing each other since they were 12 weeks old. TikTok user dus_poodle explains one of the sisters was returned after being adopted, but now her parents have adopted it–meaning the two can finally grow up together!
But first, we get to witness the reunion. There’s something so amazingly sweet, pure, and innocent about the love animals have for another–and it’s on full display here. So get your tissues ready. You’re going to need them!
@dus_poodle Now those two will be stealing hearts together 🥺🥰#dogsoftiktok #fyp #minipoodle #doglife #littermates
Now cynics might say, “How do we know they recognize each other? Maybe they’re just happy to see another dog.” First of all, there is scientific evidence supporting the fact that poodles are among the most intelligent dog breeds, known for their exceptional learning ability, which likely helps them retain information and memories.
Second, dogs have a sense of smell about 10,000 times more powerful than a human, so it’s “very probable they can identify a sibling from their smell.” And third, I’d say DID YOU WATCH THE VIDEO?!?!
For me it’s the freeze when the first poodle spots her sister in the distance. There’s definitely recognition there. Whether she sees a shape that’s familiar or catches a comforting scent or she straight up knows who it is–well, no one really knows. (I prefer to think she knows exactly who it is!) The excited tail wagging, the instant relaxed body language around each other. It’s all too much and I’m not alone in feeling this way.
After watching viewer Chary said, “I am crying tears of joy this melted my heart.”
Gabby Calabs said “This is so special for everyone involved.”
And Luffy added “What a beautiful story.”
I couldn’t agree more. Here’s hoping we see many more videos featuring these two beautiful sisters.
