This is a story for all those rescue paw-rents out there. So many of us have saved our cats from the streets, but have you ever wondered if there are things they miss from their past? One cat mama wanted to do something for her beloved street kitty. So she decided to get the girl a gift that was from home.
Minnow’s life has totally changed since she was rescued. But that doesn’t mean she’s forgotten where she came from.
@shecatcalls PART 2 | Cat enrichment ideas. The way she sits more on this $7 brick than any of the actual cat beds and huts I buy her 😂 Can anyone else relate? 🤦♀️ Video idea inspired by Kurt the Cat @Abram Engle @The Home Depot #creatorsearchinsights #cats #cattok #sillycat #funny #meow
The cat’s mama, Mia, has given her baby everything. But she wondered if there was a part of her cat that missed being outside all the time. Enter her brilliant idea — a concrete slab.
She got the slab, “since Minnow was originally a street cat,” the woman explained in the clip, “and she loved it.”

The woman got the slab from Home Depot and pretty quickly it was a hit. At first Minnow merely investigated the slab, but then she absolutely loved it.
“She immediately flopped over and started wiggling all around it,” the woman continued. “She was rubbing herself so aggressively on it that I could see tufts of her hair in the air, so she was getting a good brush.”
“It’s safe to say she loved it,” the cat mama declared. And now the mom is stuck with her “new piece of furniture.”
Obviously, the gift is a little unconventional. Which is why people couldn’t stop laughing at the cat’s new ultra-tough “cat bed.”
“The toe stubber 3000,” one person teased.
“Look sometimes a girl just need an emotional support concrete slab,” another commenter joked.
Someone else thought the idea was brilliant. “I have a street cat that I literally named Concrete so naturally I now need to get him a concrete slab,” they added.
While another commenter put it this way: “‘Why is there a concrete slab on the floor?’ ‘That’s my cat bed for when he misses being homeless,’” they wrote.
Clearly, people had some strong opinions about the present. But that’s the thing about cats — they really do love the strangest things.
