Penny isn’t great under pressure. In fact, we think it’s safe to say that she folds pretty quickly when pressed. The Cairn Terrier and Yorkie mix caved so fast when her mama asked if she’d been sneaking snacks before her walk. The answer was pretty obvious to everyone.
Okay, so we guess we can cross stealth off as one of Penny’s talents. The small dog is really not the best at keeping secrets. Especially secrets that involve her and her food bowl.
@maquecadurisander I guess it’s not penny. 🤣🤣🤣#dog #dogsoftiktok #dogs #dogsofttiktok #viral #dogmom #doglifestyle #doglover #viralvideo
Poor Penny. She didn’t have a chance did she? The Yorkie and Cairn Terrier mix knew she was cooked when she walked into the kitchen and her mama immediately asked her about the missing food.
“Hey Penny, do you happen to know who’s sneaking the food before their walk?” the woman asked in the footage.

Come on, Penny. Keep cool! Oh…okay nevermind. It seems like the jig was up because the dog opened her mouth and tons of kibble fell straight out of her mouth.
Mystery solved.
“I guess it’s not Penny,” the woman joked in the caption.
The comments section was really pulling for the pup. Sadly, she sort of buckled right away.
“Penny doesn’t do well under pressure,” wrote one person.
“She collected the evidence of someone else’s crime,” another person teased.
“You might want to call Unsolved Mysteries because this is tough,” quipped another commenter.
While another commenter was still so baffed: “When you find out, let us know,” they kidded.
How to Get Your Dog to Stop Stealing Food
It’s a problem that most dog parents face — your dog loves to sneak food when you aren’t looking! It can really be a hassle. Especially when your dog likes to steal food off the counter.
Remember, attention to a dog is a reward. So a good way to change negative behavior is to reward them with praise (and treats) for showing good behavior.
While you’re prepping dinner try and give your dog a separate task to do. Dinner prep is typically when dogs like to snatch things off the counter. So keep them occupied and then reward them for not going after food.
It might take some time, but eventually your dog will get the picture….Or they’ll end up like Poppy here.
