Getting sleep is essential for all of us as a good rest can help us power through the most hectic of days. Well, our animal friends also need their rest in order to go about their daily routines.
Though when it comes to catching some Zzz’s, there’s nothing more frustrating than when someone interrupts your sleep, especially when they wake you up abruptly and end a good nap.
Carlos, a chicken who lives on the Deep Draw Yak Farm, knows just how annoying it can be to be roused from a deep slumber, and his reaction in this video is priceless. This chicken has the mannerisms of any human who has been thoroughly bothered by someone intruding on their nap. Go ahead and try not to have flashbacks of the last time you were disturbed while sleeping.

Carlos is all of us when our beauty sleep has been interrupted! As you can see in the clip, this chicken had found himself a nice little perch in the rafters to park on and rest for a little while. He looks comfortable, and he’s far enough away from all of the action on the farm. He probably thought he could get a quick nap to recharge.
Suddenly, his human calls his name, startling him and waking him up. That’s it for nap time, along with Carlos’ patience. And this chicken is not in a playing mood at all!
Once awake, you can clearly see Carlos is so unhappy with his human in this moment. This fluffy guy cocked his head to the side with attitude, and honestly, I can feel this cranky bird’s evil-eye coming right through the screen.

If Carlos could talk to his human, he would probably be screeching, “What do you want?!” He does not appreciate being aroused from his sleep like that — not at all. His cute little feathers are ruffled, both literally and figuratively.
Poor, Carlos! Who could blame him for his reaction? No one likes their nap time being cut short. I hope the next time Carlos closes his eyes he gets the peaceful nap he needs.
